The 2024/2025 Call for Speakers (CFS) contest has come to a close – and it’s time to get to know the names of the industry experts who will influence the E-commerce Berlin Expo 2025!
How the Call for Speakers shapes EBE’s conference lineup
What makes the E-commerce Berlin Expo conference stand out?
E-commerce Berlin Expo is both an expo and a conference, gathering industry professionals for an in-depth look at the latest in e-commerce.
With the return of the E-commerce Berlin Expo (EBE) conference comes the Call for Speakers (CFS) contest, where the best industry minds compete for a chance to share their insights. This year’s contest reached new levels, showcasing record-breaking engagement with 646 submissions across nine categories and over 24,000 public votes.
Refreshed selection process and record participation
The CFS contest spans nine categories, each designed to bring different areas of expertise and innovation to the EBE conference stage. Topics ranged from AI in e-commerce to customer journey optimization and real-life client case studies, all reflecting the diversity and innovation of the e-commerce field.
A two-stage selection process
The selection process consisted of two stages:
- Public voting: E-commerce enthusiasts cast thousands of votes to select the top five finalists in each category. This crowd-sourced input helped bring the most compelling ideas to the forefront.
- Advisory board review: After public voting, an Advisory Board composed of 30+industry leaders from companies such as Hubspot, MediaMarktSaturn, Odoscope, Ikea, Meta, C&A, home24, KoRo, or Kleinanzeigen (among others) evaluated the finalists. The goal was to select one winner in each category based on originality, relevance, and actionable value.
