My adventure with e-commerce started when… we founded simplesurance in 2012.

The biggest success I had working in e-commerce was… connecting old and new economy, by providing a solution to offer insurance in e-commerce and thus improve services and the aftersales experience for customers.
The biggest mistake I made in e-commerce (and how I dealt with it) was… not targeting the big fish in e-commerce first. I dealt with this by targeting the big players later and partner with giants such as Huawei, Rakuten and real since 2016.
This year’s hottest trend in e-commerce is… personalization & customer centricity.
In 10 years, e-commerce will… be much quicker and more unique.
When I hire people, I care most about the candidate’s… motivation and team spirit.
An e-commerce business/venture that inspires me most is… any business that has proven to be successful.
An e-commerce (or related) website that I read most often is… Business Punk.
My favourite online shop is… any of our approx. 2,500 business partners.
I can’t imagine my work without… my smartphone. That’s why it’s insured.
To motivate myself, I… have a hobby like kitesurfing that gives me balance.
The advice I would give to my younger self is… never stop playing.
